Created in April 2000, de l'air arises from a desire to show photographic works which relate to the current world and as agnès b. always likes to show what those things she likes, it is quite naturally that she welcomes a retrospective of the magazine from June 7 – 20.
Established without the support of a publishing conglomerate or a financial structure, without advertising, and with a lot of shared willingness, this independent magazine claims a total eclecticism in the treatment and the choice of the subjects. Reports, portraits, landscapes, still lives, fashion… de l'air reflects all the photographic writings without giving privilege to anybody.
It federates well known authors and very unknown, heavyweights and sharp, plasticians and photoreporters, "modeux" and humanists, etc.
Ten years after its creation, de l'air goes on its own way, far from the superhighways of unique information.
44 covers, more than 80 photographic editions, about fifteen reports, chromalins, books, as well as the Wall of the last number, composes this retrospective, and a projection of expressing, in music, the essence of the magazine.
