"What can you expect from a guy who electrifies clubs with his machines but who suddenly grabs a guitar and top hat to transform the scenario? From a truly stateless person Made in France who weaves his web from London while travelling the world at a frenetic pace? His response? ""Yes is More"": the hottest of this winter's albums. While patiently building up his own collection of instruments, which his peers are united in considering unique, Danton Eeprom has raised his black flag bang in the middle of the dance floors. His secret weapon: an amazing control of epic cavalcades and atmospheres in fusion. After he was exiled to English soil, his excursions into the pop domain became more frequent. His reinterpretations of titles by Simian Mobile Disco, Little Boots, Lykke Li and Au Revoir Simone could not go unnoticed. Following in the footsteps of ""Yes is More"", this first 45 rpm crystallises the essence of the century without searching for meaning. It is too busy celebrating the present moment and will leave it to the experts to get bogged down in compulsory labelling. In track after track, coteries, dogmas and other conveniences of the cool society melt away like sunny Mondays. For the first time, Danton sings of his freedom loud and clear, while at the same time murmuring obscenities into your ear. This independence is born of furtive encounters by day as by night, of momentary madness that makes him torture funk, pop and R'n'B again and again. His voice becomes twisted to the point of intoxication on the crazy riffs of ""Give Me Pain"", when it is not illuminated with delight on ""Vivid Love"", a haunting slow which will certainly cause as much ink to flow as it will mascara. If American Gigolo had been made in 2009, ""Vivid Love"" would have been its sound track. It's so hypnotic that it will be reserved exclusively for the second side of this promising 45 rpm."
